How are Premiums Handled?

Health Insurance

When a Guild Member enrolls in one of our health insurance plans, they will be required to pay for 2 month’s of premiums. The amount for 1 month goes to the insurance carrier for the upcoming month (premiums are always paid in advance), and the other amount goes into an escrow account.

We require 30 days’ notice if a Guild Member wishes to cancel their insurance and/or membership. This gives us enough time to notify the insurance carrier and comply with their cancellation policies. The premium paid for the upcoming month will be the final payment, and the escrow amount will be returned to the Guild Member.

If a Guild Member does not make a payment for an upcoming month, and we cannot get in touch with them, the amount in the escrow account will be applied to their final month of health insurance and will not be returned to them.

Retirement Plans

When a Guild Member enrolls in our Solo(k) or 401(k) plan, they will be responsible for any and all expenses associated with their plan directly. Guild Members get their first 4 months free through our plans.

If a Guild Member wishes to cancel their membership, their plan will be removed from the group plan so the individual can continue participating in their plan.

If a Guild Member wishes to cancel their retirement plan, they will work directly with the provider (Guideline) to either roll their funds over to another retirement account or withdraw their funds.
